Sindh Govt Approves 5 Additional Marks for Grade 5–15 Job Applicants. The Sindh government has officially approved a major update to its recruitment policy, allowing candidates applying for Grade 5 to Grade 15 government jobs to receive five additional marks. This decision aims to promote merit, reward academic performance, and standardize recruitment procedures across the province.
According to the newly issued notification, the Departmental Selection Committee will award five bonus marks to candidates who secure at least 50% aggregate academic marks.
This incentive will also apply to intermediate-pass candidates, ensuring fair benefits during recruitment examinations.
Mandatory for IBA Sukkur Recruitment Tests
The government has directed that these extra marks be included in all tests conducted by IBA Sukkur, which handles large-scale hiring assessments for Sindh’s departments.
This move ensures uniformity and transparency in recruitment, especially for posts falling between Grade 5 and Grade 15.
Applicable Across All Provincial Departments
The notification—issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department and signed by Section Officer-V Sanaullah Qazi—states that the policy is applicable to every provincial department without exception.
Why the New Policy Matters
Officials say this decision is designed to:
- Encourage merit-based recruitment
- Reward candidates with strong academic backgrounds
- Create consistent hiring standards across Sindh
- Improve transparency in the selection process
- Motivate students to achieve better academic results
What This Means for Job Seekers
For candidates applying to Grade 5–15 positions, this update provides a valuable advantage. Those with strong academic scores will now have higher chances of securing government jobs, especially in competitive recruitment tests.
